Thus by working together vs the cottage industry ways we have operated under in the past we will lead the way in solving America’s housing crisis — all done without losing our greatest power – our independence.
In short CHBA was created to level the playing field between the big three and the rest of he home building industry.

In the 21st century and beyond human beings deserve to have a home that they can be proud of not just a house to live in. By working together, we can gain economies of scale comparable to the top two national builders combined. That buying power can and will deliver substantial savings and thus an ability to build at a price comparable to them while delivering a higher quality product. It is our mission to make the same level of systems and operational performance available to you the local and regional custom home builder so that we can transform from a cottage industry into a market force to be reckoned with. Lastly it is time to stop terraforming every inch of land to build new housing developments. Not every lot needs to be a walk out. Not every tree needs to be cleared. Most importantly mother nature has already decided how a piece of land should drain so we need to work with that rather than against it.

Bench-marking
We have contracted with a firm that specializes in benchmarking to deliver the first industry specific insights into the Custom Home Building industry.
Industry Recognition
We plan to hold an annual awards event where specific details will be released for those taking the top five places in each category, such as Best Net Income %, Closest Bid %, Lowest Cost per SF, and #
of leads generated, Lead conversion rate, and a new KPI that we are going to try out; lead-to-completion days per SF.
